WestJet Agent Direct Contest Official Contest Rules (the “Official Rules”)

The “WestJet Agent Direct Contest” (hereinafter referred to as “Contest”) is a contest which allows participants to enter for a chance to win one of the offered prizes, pursuant to these Official Rules, which are available online at contests.westjet.com. The sponsor of this contest is WestJet, an Alberta Partnership (hereinafter referred to as the “Sponsor”) and can be contacted here: trademarketing@westjet.com, 22 Aerial Place NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 3J1. By taking part in this Contest you accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that all decisions of the Sponsor (as defined below) are final and binding. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. These Official Rules apply only to this Contest and not to any other promotions, contests, or sweepstakes by the Sponsor.

1. ELIGIBILITY:

Contest is open to Canadian residents (excluding residents of Quebec) who:

a) have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry; and

b) are employed as a travel agent with a valid IATA or TIDS number with the Sponsor.

Employees, representatives, or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled) of the Sponsor and its affiliated companies are not eligible to enter.

2. CONTEST PERIOD:

Entry into the Contest commences at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time on December 2, 2024, and ends at 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time on February 3, 2025, hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Period”.

3. HOW TO ENTER:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. All registered users of the WestJet Agent Direct platform are eligible to enter the contest

During the Contest Period, there will be one (1) contest with individual prizes. Entrants may also earn additional bonus entries. The contest period is as follows:

• December 2, 2024 (9:00 a.m. MT) to February 3, 2025 (11:45 p.m. MT)

All registered users of WestJet Agent Direct are eligible to enter and win. Entrants can also receive one (1) bonus entry for every booking they make in WestJet Agent Direct. WestJet will randomly select ten (10) winners in total. The prizes are as follows: One (1) $700 WestJet Gift Card + 2 Extended Comfort vouchers (value of Extended Comfort is up to $250/per voucher); one (1) $500 WestJet Gift Card; five (5) $100 WestJet Gift Cards; three (3) WestJet swag bags valued at $100.

To enter (the “Entry”) visit https://contests.westjet.com/WSagentdirect to complete and submit the Contest entry form. Entries must be fully completed with all required information. Entries must be received by 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time on the date the contest closes to be eligible to win.

To obtain bonus entries, participants must make a booking via the WestJet Agent Direct booking platform. Participants will earn one entry per eligible booking made during the contest period and are permitted unlimited bonus entries.

4. PRIZES:

There are ten (10) total Prizes to be awarded for the contest.
The total value of prizes awarded during the contest period is $2300.00. CAD. Each Prize (the “Prize”) available to be won is as follows:

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions. Gift cards and prize vouchers cannot be sold. In the event that it has been sold, gift cards or prize vouchers will become void, and any flight bookings made with it will be cancelled immediately without notice or reimbursement. WestJet does not handle the payment, guarantee transactions, or buyer protection or seller certification, nor will WestJet be liable for the loss of funds resulting from a fraudulent transaction. By redeeming gift cards or prize vouchers, all guests travelling agree to release and waive all claims against, WestJet relating to any and all liability, damage, or compensation entitlement arising under Canada’s Air Passenger Protection Regulations.

Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the Prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at the Sponsor’ sole and absolute discretion, a cash award.

There are ten prizes, each subject to the terms and conditions set out below:

Prize 1 – $700 WestJet Gift Card + 2 Extended Comfort vouchers

Seven hundred dollars in the form of a WestJet Gift Card + 2 Extended Comfort vouchers will be awarded as Prize 1. Entry Period: December 2, 2024 – February 3, 2025. Entry Deadline: February 3, 2025, at 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time. The total prize includes:

• $700 WestJet Gift Card
• 2 Extended Comfort vouchers (value up to $250/per voucher)

Prize 2 – $500 WestJet Gift Card

Five hundred dollars in the form of a WestJet Gift Card will be awarded as Prize 2. Entry Period: December 2, 2024 – February 3, 2025. Entry Deadline: February 3, 2025, at 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time. The total prize includes:

WestJet Gift Card: Redeeming
Gift Cards cannot be activated until completion of payment processing and fraud screening procedures. Gift Cards can be redeemed on new bookings on westjet.com and westjetvacations.com for vacation packages. Gift Cards can only be redeemed for new bookings on WestJet or WestJet Encore operated flights and advance seat selection fees (at the time of booking), including applicable taxes, fees and surcharges.
Gift Cards cannot be used as payment for:
o Baggage fees, change and cancellation fees, same-day airport changes, seat upgrade fees, kennel fees, and unaccompanied minor fees
o WestJet Rewards redemption bookings
o Purchase of WestJet dollars
o Group bookings (vacations and air only)
o Pre-purchase menu items and Buy on Board menu items
o WestJet Connect
o Cargo services
o Travel insurance
o Car bookings and hotel reservations booked on westjet.com
o Partner airline-operated flights
Gift Cards purchased on westjet.com have no expiry. Gift Cards are fully transferable. A maximum of one Gift Card can be redeemed on a single booking on westjet.com and westjetvacations.com; multiple Gift Cards cannot be consolidated into a single Gift Card. A single Gift Card can be combined with up to one payment card on a booking. For Gift Card redemptions, the full stored value of the Gift Card will be applied to the total eligible amount of your booking; in the event there is a residual Gift Card amount remaining, this amount can be used on subsequent bookings; the original Gift Card number and access code must be retained for re-use. Gift Cards are issued in Canadian dollars, however, if redeemed on a booking in a currency other than Canadian dollars, foreign exchange rates will apply. Gift Cards will not be accepted if the Gift Card number or access code is missing, incorrect or has been deactivated. Gift Cards are not reloadable.

WestJet Gift Card: Fraud
Gift Cards cannot be resold. WestJet is not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to inaccurate delivery information including physical or email addresses. WestJet reserves the right to refuse, suspend, hold for review or cancel any Gift Card order for which fraud is suspected.

WestJet Gift Card: Lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed
Gift Cards are treated like cash; WestJet is not responsible for any stored value balance on Gift Cards which are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed. WestJet is not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to inaccurate delivery information including physical or email addresses.

WestJet Gift Card: Other
Gift Cards are not credit or debit cards and have no implied warranties. The laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada govern these Terms and Conditions. WestJet reserves the right to at any time change the present Terms and Conditions or contract with another third party to administer the Gift Card program. Tickets purchased using Gift Cards are subject to WestJet’s Tariffs and Contract of Carriage and fare rules. Gift Cards are not reloadable. Gift Cards sold by unlicensed vendors are subject to confiscation or voiding by WestJet. WestJet does not permit the use of its trademarks and logos for the purpose of advertising, as an endorsement for a product or service, or for any other purpose without its prior express permission. WestJet does not permit Gift Cards for use in contesting without its prior express permission. Gift Cards purchased as a bulk order are subject to all Terms and Conditions. Gift Cards cannot be used in any way that is indecent or illegal, or subjects the Issuer or their brands to scandal or a negative impact on their goodwill.
Gift Card Terms and Conditions

WestJet Extended Comfort voucher:
• Valid for complimentary advance seat selection (i.e. prior to check-in) on any seat within the UltraBasic, Econo or EconoFlex fare options where a seat selection fee applies; not valid to upgrade to a seat in Premium or Business, nor to select or change a seat during check-in.
• Valid for bookings made on westjet.com or via WestJet's contact centre. Members who wish to add seat selection on reservations made by third parties, such as a travel management company or online travel agency, may be eligible to do so by using Manage Trips on westjet.com.
• Valid when travelling on WestJet-marketed and operated flights only (including WestJet Encore); not valid when travelling with WestJet's code-share or interline partners.
• Valid for bookings made prior to the voucher expiry date; travel may occur after the voucher expiry date subject to flight schedule availability at the time of booking.
• WestJet Rewards members may use these vouchers at any time prior to check-in; a fee may apply to select a seat during check-in.
• To access vouchers, eligible member's WestJet Rewards ID must be added to the reservation at time of booking or on Manage Trips on westjet.com.
• Vouchers may be used for member or guest(s) travelling with the member on the same reservation.
• Each voucher is valid for complimentary seat selection for member (or guest) from one origin to one destination, including connections. A round trip requires two vouchers per member/guest.
• Voucher number and expiry date are available when you sign into your account at westjet.com.
• Changes or cancellations to seat selection must be made on Manage Trips on westjet.com or through WestJet's contact centre.
• Seat selection vouchers are non-refundable when upgrading (either purchased or complimentary) to a higher cabin than originally booked.
• Vouchers may only be used as described, have no monetary or other exchange value and are non-transferable.
• Terms and conditions of this voucher are subject to the Program Terms and Conditions at the time of redemption.
• Extended Comfort is available on select flights; confirm your aircraft type before using your voucher.

Transportation is subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. Seasonal service and schedule will apply; certain travel dates may not be available.

The winner and his/her/their guest (if applicable) are responsible for ensuring they meet all travel requirements and have all necessary travel documents (e.g., valid passport, visas, proof of vaccination etc.), if applicable. The Releasees are not responsible in the event any flight holder is refused boarding at any time by the airline or airport security. Any unused portion of the prize will be forfeited. The voucher holder is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal taxes.

The winner and his/her/their guest (if applicable) are responsible for all incidental costs and expenses not explicitly included in Gift Card, including without limitation, transportation to and from originating airport, medical insurance, COVID testing, travel documentation, airport improvement fees, checked baggage fees, hotel accommodations, taxes, gratuities, pre-seat selection, food and
beverages, parking, car rental taxes, fees and surcharges, car insurance.

The Sponsor is not responsible for any flight delays, postponements, suspensions, rescheduling or cancellations, for any reason, of any flight(s) and winner and his/her/their guest (if applicable) will not be compensated in the event of such delay, postponements, suspensions, cancellations, etc., or other event described herein. Other restrictions may apply.

Prize(s) three, four, five, six and seven (3 - 7) - $100 WestJet Gift Card

Five (5) individual winners will be selected to receive one WestJet Gift Card each, valued at $100.

Three winners will be randomly selected to win one swag bag each valued at $100.

5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:

Winner Selection

One (1) winner will be randomly selected from eligible entries received, for each Prize. Winners will be selected on approximately February 10, 2025.

Prize Winner Notification

All winners will be contacted by February 10, 2025, 11:45 p.m. Mountain time via email to notify and validate active Travel Agent status and provide a winner’s declaration form that includes a mathematical skill-testing question. To be awarded the Prize, the potential winner must correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question without electronic, mechanical or any other kind of assistance. The skill-testing question will be administered at such time and in such manner as the Sponsor determines in its sole discretion. Potential winners must also complete and sign a Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, WestJet their affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with any Prize or this Contest. Each potential winner will have until February 21, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time to email their signed form to WestJet’s Trade Marketing department at trademarketing@westjet.com.

If a potential winner fails to return a signed form by this deadline or fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, the potential winner will be disqualified from the draw and an alternate potential winner will be randomly selected. No correspondence will be undertaken except with the selected Eligible Participants whose Eligible Entry was drawn.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, or to be using automated methods to attempt to receive additional entries into the Contest, or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or to be acting in an otherwise disruptive manner. All decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding. The Releasees i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning the Prizes, ii) except where prohibited by law, disclaim any implied warranty, and
iii) are not liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from the acceptance or use or misuse of a Prize, secondary, or tertiary prizes, travel related thereto or from, or entrant’s participation in the Contest. The Contest will run in accordance with these Official Rules, subject to amendment by the Sponsor.

All entries become the property of the Sponsor. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. An entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she/they is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, stolen, incomplete, altered, or misdirected entries, for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to electronic malfunctioning of any network, hardware, or software, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Sponsor whether or not due to the fault of the foregoing or of any other person, or whether due to computer mishaps, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Contest Site or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contests is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. The Sponsor is not responsible for injury or

damage to online participants’ or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in the Contest, or downloading materials from or use of Contest Site. If, for any reason whatsoever, any part of the Contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes which in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, the Sponsor reserve the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and to select a winner from eligible entries received prior to the action taken or in some other manner that the Sponsor deems fair and equitable. The Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including but not limited to, errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of winner, or the distribution of the Prize.

The Sponsor will use your personal information for the purposes of conducting the Contest in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, located at www.westjet.com, and applicable law. Sponsor may also use or disclose your personal information for those other purposes for which you have provided your consent. By entering the Contest, entrants release and hold harmless the Releasees from any liability in connection with the Contest or, if declared a winner, of the Prize. Before being declared a winner, each winner will be required to sign and return, within a stipulated period of time, a Declaration and Release Form with the Official Rules, as cited in Section 5.

By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, and photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format.

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these English Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to the Contest entry form, and/or point of sale, print or online advertising; the terms and conditions of these English Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.

This Contest is governed by the laws of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein and is void where prohibited by law. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest or the Official Rules at any time without notice.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:

All intellectual property, including, without limitation, all trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned or licensed by the Sponsor and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
